Looking for differences between two files is not always effective, especially when you load large documents containing code lines, for instance. Beyond Compare is an effective program that can help you with this problem and highlight all found differences.
The thing I liked the most about this application was that it offers so many comparing modules. Whether you wish to compare images, folders or registry files, this program can do it for you within seconds. Plus, additional tools like Synchronize and Merge will help you get rid of any found difference between two folders or two text documents.
By using advanced techniques, Beyond Compare will effectively compare images, no matter their format. The application will highlight the differences between two pictures and give you access to some useful image editing tools.
On the other hand, the program still has some relevant flaws, like the inability to play audio files (it displays an error message) and to edit Word and PDF files.
If you ask me, you can overpass the mentioned disadvantages as the application does an incredible job when it comes to comparing. In addition to that, Beyond Compare won't make a big hole in your budget, so, I see no reason to not giving this program a try.
