There are two versions of the software: Pro and Standard version. You can obtain information about them using the official website, however, since you have the possibility to buy them in two versions, there are also 2 prices available: 30$ is for the Standard version and 50$ for the pro version. The same prices are for Linux and Mac, but if you want Multi platform, the prices increase with 30$ and 28$ for the standard version.

No. It seems that the program can't compare a folder against an archive file. The program was tested, but failed. However, the application can work with ZIP and TAR files. For additional information about the product, visit the developer's website.
I need to compare many files from child server to main server. I'm not sure if Beyond Compare can support me to call and use it via Visual Basic. Is this possible?

Yes. It is possible to use Beyond Compare on a Visual Basic application, but only by call it through CMD, which you need to open in the application also. This can be done with a command like Process.Start("CMD", " BCompare.exe"). However, you should use the program standalone, because it has functions that can facilitate the comparison of multiple items.
